Rolling for our Roles in Season of Discovery

First across the line? You're the tank. Last? Congratulations, you're healing. And everything in between?

The Great Role Race: A New Adventure Begins with the What'sMyRole? Crew

In the vast, ever-evolving world of Azeroth, every new adventure begins with a choice. For the What'sMyRole? crew, that choice took a turn towards the unpredictable with the launch of our latest endeavor, the Questline Chronicles series in WoW Classic's Season of Discovery. But, instead of the traditional method of selecting our roles and classes, we decided to add a twist—enter "The Great Role Race."

As we embark on this new journey, our excitement is palpable, not just for the adventures that lie ahead but for the unique way we've chosen to dive into them. With the spirit of camaraderie and a dash of daring, we've decided to let fate decide our paths in Azeroth through a race that would determine our roles and classes for the entire season.

The concept was simple yet thrilling: a virtual race where the outcome would lock us into our roles for the upcoming series. First across the line? You're the tank. Last? Congratulations, you're healing. And everything in between? A mix of DPS with flavors as varied as Azeroth itself. This wasn't just a race; it was the starting gun for our journey, a declaration of our commitment to embracing the unexpected.

Why a role race, you might ask? The answer lies in the very essence of what makes the What'sMyRole? crew tick—our love for the game, our desire to explore every nook and cranny, and most importantly, our passion for sharing these experiences with each other, and with you, our fellow adventurers.

The role race was more than just a method of selection; it was a celebration of the randomness and joy that gaming together brings. It's about stepping out of our comfort zones, challenging ourselves, and, perhaps, discovering new facets of Azeroth—and of ourselves—along the way.

As we gear up for the Questline Chronicles in the Season of Discovery, armed with our randomly assigned roles and an unquenchable thirst for adventure, we invite you to join us. Share in our triumphs, our setbacks, and our laughter. Whether we’re conquering dungeons, unraveling the mysteries of Azeroth, or simply enjoying a tankard of ale in a tavern, we're doing it together, as a team, as a family.

The What'sMyRole? crew is more than just a group of gamers; we're storytellers, adventurers, and, most importantly, friends. And as we set out on this new series, we're reminded of the magic that brought us together—the magic of World of Warcraft.

So, grab your gear, choose your mount, and join us on this wild ride through Azeroth. Who knows where the road will take us, but one thing's for certain: it's going to be an adventure worth telling.

No ToTK DLC? Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma Says No Additional Content Is Planned In Famitsu Interview

Before jumping to conclusions & dramatics, this Famitsu Interview is Google translated to English from Japanese and could be misinterpreting the meaning behind the question or answer statements, but when asked about what’s next regarding The Legend of Zelda, Tears of The Kingdom Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi & Producer Eiji Aonuma had this to say

Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi

“I don't know if it will be the next work, but I'm thinking about what the "next fun experience" will be. I can only say that I do not know at the moment what form it will take.”

Producer Eiji Aonuma

“There are no plans to release additional content this time, but that's because it feels like we've done everything we can to create games in that world. In the first place, the reason why we chose this time as a sequel to the previous game is because we thought there would be value in experiencing new play in that place in Hyrule. Then, if such a reason is newly born, it may return to the same world again. Whether it's a sequel or a new work, I think it will be a completely new way to play, so I'd be happy if you could look forward to it.”

I hope this is completely mistranslated or a misdirect, as I was looking forward to at least a Master Mode or any kind of DLC. I understand that ToTK is a huge game with much to do… but I want more! If this is really the final say on DLC, at least we can take comfort in the fact that the team is already focused on the next Zelda adventure! I will update this post as soon as there is any clarification on the statements made or any further news regarding DLC for Tears of The Kingdom.

Let me know what you think about this news in the comments.

How To Repair & Upgrade Weapons & Shields In Tears of The Kingdom

Weapons and shields can be repaired and upgraded by Rock Octoroks found in the Eldin region. These enemies attack by sucking up air and then launching explosive fireballs, but if you drop a damaged weapon or shield in front of them, they will inhale the gear, repair its durability, & apply a random upgrade effect before spitting it back out at you. This is very helpful for stocking up on powerful weapons and keeping an arsenal in a game where gear can break easily.

Where To Find Rock Octoroks

The Eldin region of Hyrule is where you will find the most Rock Octoroks, but there seem to be many potential spawn locations that are inconsistent. At these inconsistent spawn locations, they will despawn if the game is reloaded. With the help of the TotK Object Map, I found spots where they always appeared & remained even after saving & reloading the game.

These 2 Rock Octoroks are in the Isle of Rabac Gallery Cave, which you can find the entrance to by following the minecart tracks West. At the end of the cave is the Jiotak Shrine as well.

All the Octoroks I marked are on the surface except for these two, which are inside the Isle of Rabac Gallery Cave near the Jiotak shrine. Be careful attempting to repair/upgrade using them as they are surrounded by magma & you could lose your gear this way.

Finding & activating the following Shrines will allow you to teleport back to the Octoroks easily to repair/upgrade whenever needed!

  • Momosik & Sitsum Shrines - 7 Rock Octorok nearby

  • Sibajitak Shrine - 7 Rock Octorok nearby

  • Jiotak Shrine - 7 Rock Octorok nearby

  • Marakuguc Shrine - 6 Rock Octorok nearby

  • Timowak Shrine - 4 Rock Octorok nearby

  • Sikukuu Shrine - 2 Rock Octoroks nearby

  • Mayak Shrine - 1 Rock Octorok nearby

  • Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower - 1 Rock Octorok Nearby

Repairing Gear With Rock Octoroks

So you have a piece of gear flashing red that will break soon because it is low on durability. All you need to do is head to the Eldin region of Hyrule and hunt down one of the Rock Octoroks. First, if you have any allies with you, dismiss them because they will mercilessly kill the Octorok regardless of your plans. It is on sight with the sages!

Next, run up close to the Octorok, which will cause it to hide underground and stop attacking you. Now, you only need to drop the gear you want repaired in front of the Octorok and back away to allow it to attack. When doing this, remember that the gear must be placed between you and the Octorok since it will be attacking whichever direction you are in.

With this in mind, you also want to ensure that this direction is somewhere you can easily get the gear from. For example, some Rock Octoroks are near cliffs, so if you had them repair the gear and then stood near the edge, the Octorok would launch your newly repaired gear straight off the cliff like it’s auditioning for a sequel to Skyward Sword.

After the Octorok inhales the gear, it will show a colorful flash and play a sound effect to show you that the repair process was successful. This is important because each Rock Octorok can only repair/upgrade a piece of gear once. Because of this, whenever you use an Octorok to repair/upgrade gear, you want to defeat it afterward so that when the next blood moon happens, it will be replaced with a fresh Octorok.

Repairing Legendary Gear With Rock Octoroks

Legendary gear requires a workaround to be repaired by the Octoroks, as it cannot be repaired normally. When you have a legendary piece of gear low on durability, you must drop it and fuse it to a normal piece of gear, then drop that newly-fused weapon in front of the Octorok like normal. This allows the legendary gear to be repaired.

Next, head to Tarrey Town & speak to the young Goron named Pelison, who runs the “Break-a-Part Shop,” he will detach your newly repaired legendary gear piece from whatever you fused it to for a fee of 20 Rupees. A small price to pay in comparison to having to repurchase the gear from either Cece or the Bargainer Statues.

Upgrading Gear With Rock Octoroks

White upgrade effect

Whenever a Rock Octorok sucks up a piece of gear, and the sparkle & sound effects occur, not only is the durability repaired, but it also applies a random upgrade effect. The gear doesn’t need to be damaged to apply an upgraded effect. After upgrading a gear piece the first time, it will receive either a white or blue upgrade effect that can be seen when looking at it in your inventory. When a gear piece is upgraded a second time, it will receive a yellow upgrade effect, the maximum level.

Yellow upgrade effect - Max Level

There are so many Rock Octoroks around the Eldin region, and upgrading is such an easy process that there is no reason not to upgrade every piece of gear you enjoy using to yellow. Don’t worry about getting the wrong upgrade because you can reroll gear with Rock Octoroks as often as you want until you get the perfect upgrade effect.

Unfortunately, Legendary Gear cannot receive upgrade effects, with the one exception being the Hylian Shield. The Hylian Shield is already the best in the game, even without a yellow upgrade effect & is very easy to get early in the game.

Best Weapon Upgrade Effect Rerolling Process

Let’s say you just got a new Savage Lynel Bow & you want to use Rock Octoroks to get the amazing “Five-Shot Burst” yellow upgrade effect. There is a way to guarantee you get the upgrade you want and still only use two Rock Octoroks.

First, you need to get the initial upgrade done. It doesn’t matter what effect you end up getting from the first upgrade because you are just going to immediately upgrade it again.

After knocking out the first upgrade, you will want to find one of the Rock Octoroks from the map I shared earlier because these Octoroks will not despawn when reloading the game. I physically traveled to each Octorok on this map, saved the game, and reloaded it to confirm they would still be there. Octoroks in other locations can still be used to repair/upgrade but are not the best for rerolling upgrades since they may despawn after a reload.

So once you have found an Octorok that persists on reload from the map I shared, follow these steps

  1. Walk up close to stop it from attacking.

  2. Save your game.

  3. Drop the gear to be upgraded/rerolled.

  4. Run away & wait for gear to be upgraded/rerolled & spit out by the Octorok

  5. Pick up gear & check for the desired upgrade effect.

  6. a. If not the desired upgrade effect, Reload the save before dropping the weapon & return to Step 3.

    b. If it is the desired upgrade effect, defeat the Octorok & enjoy your amazing new gear!

It is essential to save before dropping the weapon; otherwise, the weapon will despawn when reloading the game, so don’t make that mistake. This method is useful so you don’t have to run around the map wasting Octoroks trying to get a specific upgrade effect for a single piece of gear.

How To Get The Master Sword In Tears of The Kingdom

There are two ways to get the Master Sword in Tears of The Kingdom. The first way only requires having at least two full stamina rings and can be made easier through two different quests. When using this first way, you will need to complete twenty shrines & use all Lights of Blessing gained from them to upgrade Stamina. The second way to get the Master Sword is very spoiler heavy. I will cover how to get it without spoilers first so you can follow along with the story, then leave a spoiler warning before covering how to get the Master Sword as early as possible.

Dragon Tears Geoglyph Questline

Collecting all of the dragon tears in the geoglyphs throughout Hyrule is the best way to reveal the location of the Master Sword if you want to experience the story in the intended way. Each dragon tear will unlock a part of the story for you & while they can be obtained in any order, I recommend hunting them down in a specific order to view the narrative chronologically for the best experience. Remember that as you hunt dragon tears, you must complete at least 20 shrines to have enough stamina to get the Master Sword, so make an effort to complete shrines as you come across them.

The first geoglyph is located by traveling Northwest of Lookout Landing on the road leading over Carok Bridge to New Serenne Stable. You will find Impa and her air balloon just north of the Stable. She is studying the nearby geoglyph & will ask for your help. She will take you up high with her balloon & after speaking with her up there, you can jump down to investigate & search for the dragon tear. When searching for a dragon tear within a geoglyph from above, look for the tear shape that is filled in, as this will always be the spot to examine.

After activating the tear & viewing the cutscene, speak with Impa again & she will mention the Forgotten Temple that will be marked on your map. This is located in the Northern part of Tanagar Canyon. Head there & after finding a way in, climb & glide through the temple to find Impa taking a break near a shrine. Activate the shrine and continue a bit further into the temple.

You will find a large room with a stone map of Hyrule on the floor that shows the locations of each geoglyph. Dropping down will trigger Impa to catch up with you and tell you to find all the dragon tears at each location marked. The same images of the geoglyphs on the walls can be seen in the order you should seek them out from left to right. Here is the order to complete them and the nearest Skyview tower to launch from to reach them easily.

  1. Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower to reach Rauru Geoglyph

  2. Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower to reach Temple Geoglyph

  3. Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower to reach Purah Pad Geoglyph

  4. Drop from Great Sky Island to reach Molduga Geoglyph

  5. Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower to reach Ganondorf Geoglyph

  6. Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower to reach Sonia Geoglyph

  7. Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower to reach Dagger Geoglyph

  8. Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower to reach Demon King Geoglyph

  9. Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower to reach Secret Stone Geoglyph

  10. Drop from Great Sky Island to reach Gravestone Geoglyph

  11. Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower to reach Master Sword Geoglyph

You can approach each geoglyph however you like, but the easiest way is from above since you can easily see which tear is filled in. Launching from Skyview towers or dropping from sky islands where you have activated shrines & using the Glide Armor makes it easy to reach each one with the least effort. You can also craft stamina food or elixirs if you have not upgraded your stamina wheel enough yet to glide farther.

After you have collected each dragon tear, an event will be triggered that will place a marker on your map to collect one final dragon tear most easily reached from Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower that will reveal the location of the Master Sword when collected. The Master Sword can be collected without collecting any dragon tears but collecting them all will make it easier to reach it. I will explain this later in the spoiler section.

Korok Forest & The Great Deku Tree

This questline can be completed along with the dragon tear geoglyph questline if you want to view the story & make it even easier to find the Master Sword. Or, if you do not care about the story & want to make it as easy as possible to obtain it, you could skip the geoglyphs & just do this.

North of Woodland Stable, on the road leading to the Lost Woods, you will find the Minshi Woods Chasm. Drop down this chasm & use the surface map to make your way into the depths under the lost woods & find a lit-up area near the center that can be used to Ascend back up to the surface.

Once inside Korok Forest, it will be clear that something is not right here as the normally cheery & whimsical forest is dark & still. The Great Deku Tree seems to be suffering from some gloom illness & when you try to talk to him, he only mentions something wrong with his stomach. None of the Koroks are moving or answering you, either.

Enter the hollow section of the Great Deku Tree & in the back, you will find a chasm with billowing gloom. Before diving down, be prepared for a tough close-quarters fight against Gloom Hands, followed by a fight with a Phantom Ganon. The bottom of this chasm is small, and much of the floor is covered in gloom, which adds to the fight's difficulty. Acquiring the Armor of The Depths, which gives you some gloom resistance, cooking plenty of heart & gloom recovery recipes, & stocking up on bomb flowers and multishot bows can all help make this fight more manageable.

My favorite way of dealing with Gloom Hands is using multishot bows & fusing bomb flowers to the arrows because this damages all the hands quickly. Climbing up the wall before jumping off and aiming also triggers bullet time, so you can line up those shots easily for crits.

Phantom Ganon can also be barraged with bomb flowers if you want, but if you want to get into a sword fight, I would suggest using the Flurry Rush technique if you can get the timing down. This method allows you to get the most hits in on him, whereas Perfect Guard only gives you a few swings, and normal attacks must be timed more carefully to avoid being hit.

After conquering the Gloom Hands & Phantom Ganon, the Korok Forest & the Great Deku Tree will be returned to normal. Head back to speak with the Great Deku Tree & he will give you the “Recovering The Hero’s Sword” quest. This is extremely useful as it places a quest marker directly on the Master Sword’s position on the map.

If you have two full stamina rings, you can use the quest marker to track down and acquire the Master Sword easily.

So far, I have covered two quests that will reveal the story & location of the Master Sword, but both are completely optional. In the next spoilery section, I will cover how to get the Master Sword as soon as possible and one other final way to get it.

SPOILER WARNING!

DO NOT READ PAST THIS POINT IF YOU CARE ABOUT STORY SPOILERS!

How To Get The Master Sword ASAP

The Master Sword is lodged in the head of the Light Dragon! Finally, I can type it out! As long as you have two full stamina rings, you can jump on it & pull that sucker right out. The only difficulty here is that the Light Dragon flies extremely high up in the sky until certain events trigger it to fly much lower, where it can be more easily reached.

The dragon tear geoglyph questline is one of those triggers. After completing that questline, you get the final dragon tear which brings the dragon lower but also moves it to a spot near you so you can chase it immediately. The second trigger is the Korok Forest & Great Deku Tree questline. This one not only triggers the Light Dragon to fly lower but also gives you that quest marker to quickly track it down.

The red dots are high up locations to wait at & the white line is the Light Dragon’s path through the skies of Hyrule.

To skip all this, knock out your twenty shrines to upgrade stamina to two full rings & then find a very high-up spot along the Light Dragon’s Route. The Light Dragon has a set path she follows that takes nearly two whole hours for one trip around.

I did this by teleporting to the Nachoyah Shrine, using ascend to reach the top, and waiting on the Eastern part of the island facing my screen East while waiting for her to appear. After however long, the Light Dragon will appear near the Zonaite Forge, which is another place high enough you could wait at. As soon as you can see the dragon save your game in case you whiff the landing, or something else goes wrong.

I used a flying vehicle to get up above the dragon before bailing & gliding onto it. Ensure you have some Zonaite charges & stamina restoring recipes crafted just in case you need to fly or glide farther than expected.

After landing on the dragon, you only need to press A near the sword lodged in its head to start the stamina test. After the test is started, the dragon will violently thrash about, and a prompt to hold A will appear on the screen. Hold A until the prompt disappears, and as long as you have those two full stamina rings, you will have passed the test. Enjoy your cutscene & wield the Sword That Seals The Darkness.

Next up is the final way of obtaining the Master Sword.

SPOILER WARNING!

END GAME SPOILERS AFTER THIS POINT!

The Last Way To Get The Master Sword

If you have not bothered to get the Master Sword before heading down the chasm under Hyrule Castle & reaching Ganondorf in his lair, do not fret, as the game will hand the sword to you when you need it most. After defeating the Demon King Ganondorf, he will partake in a forbidden act that will lead to him carrying you out of the depths & into the sky, where the Light Dragon will arrive to rescue you and give you the Master Sword to be used in the epic final encounter.

While this technically does give you the Master Sword, it also does not save it in your inventory. If you were to continue playing after beating the final boss, it would bring you back to the point just before dropping down to fight Ganondorf’s army. So if you want to use the Master Sword in the game, this is not the best way to go about it. Although, it does make for a pretty epic & emotional finale to gain the Master Sword at such a crucial & climactic moment if that’s the vibe you are going for.

How To Get The Hylian Shield In Tears of The Kingdom

Where to find the Hylian Shield in ToTK

The Hylian Shield is found inside a hidden chest on the surface level of Hyrule Castle at the Docks in the Northwest section of the castle grounds. It is revealed by using fire to light a brazier. This is the best shield in the game & can be acquired both easily & early.

Reaching Hyrule Castle Docks

Link approaches Hyrule Castle Front Gate

Nothing ominous here

The easiest way to reach the Hylian Shield only requires obtaining the paraglider from Purah, but with enough stamina or elixirs, it could be reached without it. After you have the paraglider, head through the front gates of the Hyrule Castle grounds on the surface & follow the path that leads North along the West side.

Link stands on a Korok Puzzle Stump looking at the target across a gap

Jump on the target then head left.

Once you have reached the end of the curtain walls at a cliff, you will see more curtain walls to the North. Jump down to follow these walls & head up a cliff to reach a Korok Puzzle stump. Jump from the stump over the gap to land on the target stump to solve this puzzle.

Map location to spot the Hyrule Castle Docks entrance.

The entrance to Hyrule Castle Docks.

From the stump, go left & drop down to the land below, where a single rock sits. A canal below leads into an opening under the castle grounds. Standing close to the wall and edge nearest to the opening, jump and use the paraglider to enter, following the left wall to reach a landing spot with a sword between two torches in the Hyrule Castle Docks.

Getting The Shield

All hands on deck.

Across the water, you will see a sizeable Hylian shield carved into the wall. Directly above this carving is an unlit brazier surrounded by torches where the Hylian shield is hidden. Beware of Gloom Hands that will spawn as you approach the stairs on the left that lead up there. Fighting them is optional, as they will despawn if you climb out of their reach & wait a moment.

Kindle bonfire… wait, wrong game.

After dealing with the Gloom Hands, head up the stairs to find an unlit brazier with lit torches surrounding it. All you need to do is light the brazier, which can be done by either using a torch, using the torches to light an arrow on fire to shoot it, or simply throwing a fire fruit into it. This will play the glorious puzzle-solved jingle as a stone chest containing the Hylian Shield rises from the dirt. Open the chest & claim your prize.

Why Is It The Best Shield?

Link Parrying a charging Lynel

HAH! Gotteeeem

Hylian Shield Stats

  • Shield Guard - 90

  • Durability - 800

  • Fuse Attack Power - 22

I just think it’s neat.

Besides being a classic Zelda shield & looking so rad, this shield is better than the rest in a few ways. The Hylian Shield’s guard rating of 90 is 20 points higher than the next best shield, the Royal Guard’s Shield, in this category. Its fuse attack power rating of 22 is 1 point higher than the following best, the Savage Lynel Shield, in that category. Lastly, the Hylian Shield’s durability rating of 800 is 710 points higher than the Sea-Breeze Shield’s rating of 90. The durability rating alone makes the Hylian Shield the best option in the game because it last’s for so long without breaking.

Cece sells unique gear you may have lost or broken, such as the Hylian Shield.

Rock Octorocks found in the Eldin Region of Hyrule can be used to both repair & upgrade the Hylian Shield to make it even better. Do not worry if you lose the shield or it breaks because it can be purchased from Cece in Hateno Village for 3,000 Rupees as long as you have completed the Hateno mayoral questline.

How To Upgrade Armor In Tears of The Kingdom

How to unlock armor enhancement & how it works explained

The Great Fairy Tera enhancing a piece of armor…. by blowing a kiss of course

There are four Great Fairies throughout Hyrule that can upgrade Link’s armor in exchange for rupees & materials. The Great Fairies hide within their fairy fountain bud but can be unlocked through a questline involving the musical troupe “The Stable Trotters.” This questline has Link transport the troupe to the closed fairy fountain buds, where they play music to open up the buds & bring each fairy out of hiding. Each unlocked Great Fairy increases the level to which armor can be enhanced, with level 4 enhancement being the maximum level after unlocking the fourth & final Great Fairy. Some armor pieces cannot be upgraded.

Great Fairy Tera & Enhancement Basics

The map location of the Lucky Clover Gazette to start the prerequisite quest necessary to upgrade armor.

Before starting the Great Fairy questline, you must start the “Potential Princess Sightings!” quest by speaking with Traysi & Penn at the Lucky Clover Gazette located East of Rito Village.

Head to Woodland Stable, located Northeast of Lookout Landing, to find Penn speaking with Mastro & Violynne. Speak with them to learn they wish to perform for the Great Fairy nearby to the Northwest but are having trouble with their wagon, “Breezer,” which has lost some wheels.

Nothing stable about these trotters.

Use Ultrahand to attach some nearby wheels to the wagon & make sure you have unlocked the towing harness (rewarded after earning three pony points) and registered a horse that can equip it (Epona & Giant Horses cannot). Inform the Stable Trotters that you will transport them & they will hop in the wagon, which you can then pull by using Ultrahand to glue your horse’s towing harness to the wagon. I would not recommend transporting them at full speed because if the wagon tips, you will have to start back again at the stable…. don’t ask me how I learned that.

Violynne performing for the Great Fairy Tera.

After bringing them safely to Great Fairy Tera’s bud, The stable trotters will perform a lovely little song to inspire the fairy to open her fountain and come out. Penn will reward you with 50 Rupees, while The Great Fairy will mark the location of her three sisters’ buds on your map & offer to enhance your armor. She can upgrade your armor with a level 1 enhancement as long as you have the necessary Rupees, materials, & armor that can be enhanced. An armor piece’s current enhancement level will be marked by the number of stars that appear in its name.

Armor enhancement menu showing the cost to purchase a level 1 enhancement for the Hylian Hood.

For example, the “Hylian Hood” has a Rupee cost of 10 & a material cost of 5 Bokoblin Horns to receive a level 1 enhancement. Each level of enhancement will increase the armor’s defense stat. The “Hylian Hood” base defense is 3, which is increased to 5 with a level 1 enhancement. It is also essential to know that some armor sets receive a unique set bonus once all three pieces of the set have been upgraded to a level 2 enhancement. The Glide Armor Set, for example, has a set bonus that negates fall damage when all three pieces have a level 2 enhancement.

Level 1 Enhancement cost = 10 Rupees + materials

Level 2 Enhancement cost = 50 Rupees + materials

Level 3 Enhancement cost = 200 Rupees + materials

Level 4 Enhancement cost = 500 Rupees + materials

Great Fairies Mija, Cotera, & Kaysa

The three remaining Great Fairies may be unlocked in any order by speaking to the Stable Trotters at the stable closest to each of their Fairy buds. Each Great Fairy has a particular instrument they love the most, so Link must accept quests to find the three other members of the Stable Trotters that play these instruments & get the band back together. While you may choose which one to complete first, you may only have one quest to find a Stable Trotter member active at a time since the troupe will remain at the stable the quest was accepted until you finish it.

Great Fairy Mija

Great Fairy Mija is near Snowfield Stable.

Head Northwest of Lookout Landing to Snowfield Stable & speak to Mastro to learn that the Great Fairy Mija’s bud is closed on a hill Northeast of the stable. He will tell you she used to love to listen to the band’s horn player Eustus who was last heard around Tabantha Bridge Stable.

Eustus being judgmental, do you want out of the pit or not!

This quest provides a yellow marker directly on his location, so go ahead and head there to find Eustus, who has become trapped in a pit. Speak with him and use Ultrahand & the nearby Zonai devices to turn his wagon into a flying vehicle that can be used to get him out of the pit. He will thank you & make his way to the rest of the band back at Snowfield Stable.

It’s just more fun to go fast.

Teleport back to Snowfield Stable & speak with the Stable Trotters, who are again having wagon troubles. This time you will need to use nearby materials & Ultrahand to glue a roof onto the wagon before using your horse and towing harness to transport the troupe again to the fairy fountain bud. They will then play a song for Mija to inspire her to open her fountain. Mastro will pay you 100 Rupees & You may now enhance your armor by an extra level at any Great Fairy.

Great Fairy Cotera

Great Fairy Cotera is near Dueling Peaks Stable.

Head Southeast of Lookout Landing to Dueling Peaks Stable & talk to Mastro to learn that Great Fairy Cotera’s bud is closed nearby on the other side of a river. He tells you that Cotera loved listening to the band’s drum player Beetz & that drumming has been heard along the road South of Kakariko Village.

The hidden path to Beetz.

Travel North along the road from the Dueling Peaks Stable to Kakariko Village. It will be obvious where Beetz is by listening for drumming. If you cannot hear or play with the volume down, keep an eye on the right side of the path after crossing Kakariko Bridge for a grassy path between rocks where Beetz is found camping.

Hey google, play “Flight of The Bumblebee.”

Speak with Beetz & he will inform you that he is trying to collect 3 Courser Bee Honeycombs to make a tasty honey crepe for Mastro to help cheer him up. Head to the woods near East Hill Chasm just North of Kakariko village, where several bee hives can be found in trees. Collect the hives while trying not to get stung in the process & then bring them back to Beetz to complete the quest. He will then leave to meet with the rest of the band at Dueling Peaks Stable.

These guys always got a problem with my driving for some reason.

Teleport back to Dueling Peaks Stable & speak with the Stable Trotters, who now need transportation across the river to perform for the Great Fairy. Some Zonai devices & materials nearby can be glued with Ultrahand onto the wagon to make a watercraft. Get everyone on the boat & float them down to the fairy bud. They will then play a song for Cotera to inspire her to open her fountain. Mastro will pay you 100 Rupees & You may now enhance your armor by an extra level at any Great Fairy.

Great Fairy Kaysa

Great Fairy Kaysa is near Outskirt Stable.

Head Southwest of Lookout Landing to Outskirt Stable & speak to Mastro to learn that the Great Fairy Kaysa’s bud is closed up a steep rocky cliff to the west of the stable. He tells you that Kaysa loved listening to the band’s flutist Pyper & that the sound of a flute has been heard near Highland Stable in the Faron region to the Southeast.

Here is Pyper up in a tree in front of Highland Stable.

Once you have made it to Highland Stable, notice Pyper playing the flute in a tree near the front of the stable. Climb up to speak with him & he will ask for help collecting 10 Sunset Fireflies to make a “glowing tree” for his friend before he rejoins the Stable Trotters. Fireflies can be found and captured at night by crouching & sneaking up on them.

I’ll take 10!

The Faron Woods to the North is a good place to look for the fireflies, or if you would rather purchase some, you can buy them from Beedle & the traveling merchant Eryck, who conveniently shows up at the Highland Stable in the evening. After acquiring & bringing Pyper the fireflies, he will ask you to bring his friend Haite to the tree at night. She is found inside the stable in the evenings & after bringing her to see the tree, Pyper will leave to rejoin the Stable Trotters.

The Stable Trotters are back together again.

Teleport back to Outskirt Stable and speak with the Stable Trotters to learn that neither horses nor their wagon can make it up the hill over the rocky path to the fairy bud. Using Ultrahand, glue the wagon to the nearby stone slate with big wheels on it & attach the last wheel & control stick for the perfect vehicle to climb the rocky hill and bring the Stable Trotters up to the fairy fountain bud. They will then play a song for Kaysa to inspire her to open her fountain. Mastro will pay you 100 Rupees & You may now enhance your armor by an extra level at any Great Fairy.
